Social Media Advisory Counsel is an independent nonprofit organization–established June, 2013. Our work effects communication by informing and engaging citizens about the proper use and discipline of Social media through the employ of media and other professionals who share their experience and counsel from working in the traditional media that has been regulated by the FCC required disciplines. We partner with a diverse range of professionals who bring their stories of successful communication to the undisciplined users of Social Media with a construct of improved understanding about culturally proper communication.
Our process is to approach through multiple media including, but not limited to Radio, TV, Print, Internet and Social Media delivery systems those Schools,Businesses and Community organizations who could benefit by our presentation of the proper use and expression of Social Media. Then as a follow up; we employ the services of media professionals whose notoriety gives meaning to either individuals or groups to engage in purposeful planned discussion; counsel,advice and direction sessions aggregating to the proper disciplines of Social Media use.
While it is the exclusive exercise of Social Media Advisory Counsel to engage and advocate improved understanding of culturally proper communication with regard to each Community standard, SMAC will also align with a legal, and clinical professional base for referral if or when a particular need of that order may arise.
